this is a great idea! Have your read a book called ‘The art of looking sideways’? It is written by a graphic designer called Alan Fletcher and is all about seeing the world in new, more creative ways. I have found that books like this help you to ‘think outside of the box’ which is helpful when trying to be more creative and spontaneous.

I was going to comment that I already am creative most every day, then you said it for me. I like that you then added, “I will be more mindful” of what you create. I can absolutely take that one on.

woohoo! I love the way you’re approaching the challenge. And yes, the main goal is to develop a mindfulness about the many ways we are creative in our every day lives. Thanks for this post…it has me thinking. Out of creative thought comes creative action. We don’t acknowledge the creative journey enough.

I believe it’s important to also notice creativity that comes from other folks… especially children. Acknowledge their creative thought as well as what they do. “That is a great idea… how did you come up with that?”
